Ritonavir
Chemical Name: 5-Thiazolylmethyl (3S,4S,6S,9S)-4-hydroxy-12-methyl-9-(1-methylethyl)-13-[2-(1-methylethyl)-4-thiazolyl]-8,11-dioxo-3,6-bis(phenylmethyl)-2,7,10,12-tetraazatridecanoate
Purity: ≥98%
Biological Activity
Ritonavir is a HIV-1 and HIV-2 protease inhibitor (EC50 values are 0.022-0.13 and 0.16 μM, respectively). Blocks the metabolism of protease inhibitors by liver enzyme cytochrome P450-3A4 (CYP3A4). Orally bioavailable. When used in combination with lopinavir, improves outcome in an animal model of MERS-CoV infection.Technical Data
