INTENDED USE AND DESCRIPTION: For use a quantitative control for the determination of human HGFR/c-MET concentrations in biological fluids. Controls are supplied lyophilized. Please refer to the lot specific certificate of analysis and Simple Plex Lyophilized Quality Control product insert for additional information.

Storage

• Store lyophilized controls at 2-8 °C. Lyophilized controls are stable for up to 12 months from date of receipt.
• Reconstituted controls are stable for up to 6 months from date of preparation when stored at ≤ -70 °C. Storage at -20° C is not recommended.
• Individual frozen aliquots of low and high controls are designed as single-use entities. Thaw directly before use and discard any remaining volume.

Background: HGFR/c-MET

HGF receptor, a product of the proto-oncogene c-met, is a heterodimeric transmembrane glycoprotein that is a receptor-type tyrosine kinase. c-MET is synthesized as a single-chain precursor (pr170) which undergoes post-translational glycosylation and proteolytic cleavage to give rise to the heterodimeric mature form.
