Biological Activity

Altanserin hydrochloride is a potent and selective 5-HT2A receptor antagonist (Ki values are 0.13, 4.55, 40, 62 and 1570 nM at 5-HT2A, α1, 5-HT2C, D2 and 5-HT1A respectively). Centrally active following systemic administration in vivo.
