Simple Plex Control for Human Angiopoietin-1 Summary

INTENDED USE AND DESCRIPTION: For use a quantitative control for the determination of human and Non-Human Primate Angiopoietin-1 concentrations in biological fluids. Controls are supplied lyophilized. Please refer to the lot specific certificate of analysis and Simple Plex Lyophilized Quality Control product insert for additional information.

Shipping Conditions
The product is shipped with polar packs. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature recommended below.
Storage
• Store lyophilized controls at 2-8 °C. Lyophilized controls are stable for up to 12 months from date of receipt.
• Reconstituted controls are stable for up to 6 months from date of preparation when stored at ≤ -70 °C. Storage at -20° C is not recommended.
• Individual frozen aliquots of low and high controls are designed as single-use entities. Thaw directly before use and discard any remaining volume.

Background: Angiopoietin-1

Angiopoietins, Ang-1, Ang-2, and Ang-3 (mouse)/Ang-4 (human), are natural agonists or antagonists of the Tie-2 receptor tyrosine kinase and are important modulators of angiogenesis. Two domains characterize the angiopoietin family of proteins: an N-terminal coiled-coil domain that mediates homo-oligomerization, and a C-terminal fibrinogen-like domain that binds Tie-2.
