Glial Lineage Markers
Neural stem cells (NSC) are able to differentiate into multiple neural lineages, including neural precursors, astrocytes, neurons, and oligodendrocytes. R&D Systems provides multiple quality tools for neural stem cell research including, primary cells, stem cell-specific media, and kits for cell expansion, differentiation and identification. We also offer a range of individual antibodies to investigate the expression of glial lineage-specific markers. Our available products include markers of undifferentiated neural stem cells, such as nestin. In addition, astrocytes can be indentified using GFAP, the major component of astrocyte intermediate filament, and oligodendrocyte maturity can be estimated using A2B5, O1, and O4.
