Other Genotoxic Stress Response Molecules
R&D Systems offers additional products for the study of molecules involved in genotoxic stress responses. These include Poly(ADP-ribose) Polymerase (PARP), a 118-kDa enzyme that uses NAD as a substrate to catalyze the covalent transfer of ADP-ribose to a variety of nuclear protein acceptors. Superoxide dismutases are enzymes that catalyze the conversion of naturally-occurring but harmful superoxide radicals into molecular oxygen and hydrogen peroxide. Finally, Peroxiredoxins are a family of highly conserved peroxidases well-known for their anti-oxidant properties which may be involved in the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
