Cell Proliferation and Viability

Determination of cell viability is critical when evaluating the physiological state of cells, such as in response to cytotoxic drugs and environmental factors, or during the progression of cancer and other disease states. R&D Systems offers a variety of reagents for studying cell proliferation, viability, and cytotoxicity including fluorescent and non-fluorescent reporter dyes and MTT assays.

Resazurin

Resazurin is a fluorescent dye for the quantitative measurement of cell proliferation, viability, and cytotoxicity.

MTT Cell Proliferation/Viability Assay

MTT can be used to safely assess cell proliferation, cell viability, and/or cytotoxicity.

TACS XTT Cell Proliferation/Viability Assay

XTT can be used to assay cell proliferation, cell viability, and/or cytotoxicity. The procedure avoids radioactivity and gives reproducible and sensitive results.

Propidium iodide

Red-fluorescent DNA stain; membrane impermeant to live cells.

DAPI

A standard fluorescent DNA stain.

Hoechst 33342

Cell permeable fluorescent DNA stain.
